Prehistoric popolution size in California and its relationship to mobility, subsistence strategies, social organization and cultural transmission. Currently investigating the methods used by archaeologists and prehistoric demographers to measure population size and growth. Evolution of technology and material culture. Modeling of hunter-gatherer behavior. Statistical methodology and archaeological sampling strategies.
